Sometimes you meet people who change you for the better.
These people are called baristas.
Look at us go!! We are creating something new!! "Bean There, Tried That" will be our Local Coffee Shop Review Series!! Every couple of weeks, we'll visit a new coffee shop around locally {Cincinnati & surrounding areas}, and then we'll share our thoughts & experience on that coffee shop here!
We are starting off our "Bean There, Tried That" with a visit to Wholy Bean Coffee Co. in New Richmond, Ohio!
I saw on their Instagram where they had a No-Coffee Banana Pudding Frappuccino! Now, I'm ALL ABOUT THE COFFEE, and why would I be headed to a coffee shop, and not even planning on getting coffee?? I'm sorry...maybe you missed the part where it was a BANANA PUDDING flavored drink?? It looked really yummy, and I even checked with them to see if it was possible for this particular drink to be dairy-free...they said it was...so it was settled! THIS was going to be our FIRST STOP for our new series!!
My Husband is a New Richmond Alumni...although, he didn't spend a whole lot of time in "Downtown New Richmond" growing up. Once upon a time, not long after Danny & I first got together, we rented a house down in New Richmond, and then moved to another house just down the street!! We stayed for a handful of years in town...but it was about all the "city living" we had in us! So we headed out to the country!! But, we do enjoy a visit from time to time...back to our old stomping grounds, so to speak!
For those of you like me, who needs to know if there is an actual parking lot nearby, there is!! There is also street parking if you are crazy talented, unlike I am!!
We were definitely loving this compass on the door!
Walking in we were greeted by the friendly Baristas. As we walked up to the counter, I was asking about the Banana Pudding Frappe....but, sadly, we were informed that they had ran out of bananas!! Noooooooooooooooo!! Deep sigh. It's OK. I'm thinking there has been a BUNCH {no pun intended} of others who have been wanting to try out this magical sounding drink as well! But, now I have no idea what I want to order!! So we let the lovely ladies who walked in behind us go ahead and get their drinks while we pondered over the amazing options they have for coffee drinks!!
I mean, just look at that menu!!
Hot drinks come in sizes of 12oz or 16oz, and Cold drinks in sizes of 16oz or 20oz.
There are milk alternatives {Woot Woot!!}...you can choose from oat, almond, or coconut milk!! {extra charge does apply for this substitution...just FYI...but to avoid what happens when I end up ingesting dairy anything, well worth the .65!!}
Not a coffee person...it's OK, we won't judge {too too harshly! Just kidding!} They do have TEA!! Artisan Loose Leaf Tea that you can have Hot or Iced!! Or go for one of the non-coffee Frappuccino!!
I believe there is something for EVERYONE here!!
Just check out all the FOOD they have available!! WOW!! {I'm even spying some gluten free treats like: brownies, muffins, cinnamon rolls & cookies!! Always on the lookout!!} Could be a perfect spot for a cozy breakfast, brunch, or lunch!! You can eat inside the café, or grab it to go and take in the scenery across the street at the small park overlooking the Ohio River!!
It took us quite a bit to decide on what we wanted to drink....but we both landed on a S'mores Frappuccino. Mine made with coconut milk & hold the whip...Danny's with ALL the dairy, and some pretty drizzle to top it off with!! As we were waiting for the Coffee Artists to do their magic, we wandered about the store to check it out...

Wholy Beans Coffee Co. started off back in November of 2018; originally started to help fund a local food pantry & dinner ministry. Come on now...when the company's grassroots are planted by a community service...you need to support it!! Not only is Wholy Beans a Cincinnati-based coffee shop, they are also a Coffee Truck & Roaster!! You can read more about this amazing local coffee shop here on their WEBSITE.
We grabbed our coffees, picked out seat, and sat down to give our drinks a try!!
Oh Jumping Java Beans, Batman... these drinks were SO DELICIOUS!!!
I don't know what these extremely talented Baristas did when they made these, BUT....WOW!! I enjoyed my cup full of frappe yumminess from first sip to last sip!! I have NOT had a frozen coffee this good...since...well...I don't even know when!!
Shhhh...don't tell our usual coffee spot...but Danny & I was even talking about how we MIGHT have to start making our Wednesday coffee runs to Wholy Beans instead!! If they start a BOGO day...I would be for sure making the change!! {Just a suggestion guys!! Hint, hint!!}

We had a great day!! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in New Richmond. We got to spend some one on one time together at a "new to us" coffee shop. There was even a little wellness fest going on, so we walked around and checked out some of the booths.

Bottom Line...
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! If you are reading this right now...you just need to stop, close your laptop, put down your phone, grab your keys, get in your car and head to Wholy Beans ASAP!! Their hours over the summer are 6:30am to 4pm Monday thru Friday, and 8am to 3pm on Saturday... Plan accordingly!! If it's too late to go today, or it's Sunday {they are closed}, make plans to go TOMORROW for sure!! {Be sure to check for updated hours if you are reading this and it is sadly not summer anymore!!}
And if all of this wasn't enough to convince you to go...I just saw on their Instagram that they are bringing back their COFFEE FLIGHTS!! You'll get a sample of different flavors of coffees...what an amazing thing...I told you this place has something for everyone!! You can enjoy these Monday thru Friday!!
